About the hands-on sessions:
Have questions about InDesign? Make a list - this is a great opportunity to have them answered by someone who's used InDesign since Day One.

9am – noon: BEGINNING InDesign CS2
Hands-on training
Making the transition from QuarkXPress to InDesign? This session will help "translate" your Quark habits to InDesign. And you'll see how to maximize some of the great features that have made InDesign such a winner.

1pm – 4pm: ADVANCED InDesign CS2
Hands-on training
If you're already using InDesign, but want to learn some great tricks, this is the session for you. And see how you can go beyond print to create multimedia PDFs by adding movies and sounds in InDesign and exporting to PDF.

About the instructor:

Claudia McCue has channeled more than 20 years of traditional and digital prepress production experience into her current incarnation as a consultant, trainer and author for the graphic arts industry. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and an Adobe Certified Instructor for Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign.

Claudia’s company, Atlanta-based Practicalia, LLC, specializes in consulting and custom onsite training for a national client base that includes MTV Networks, SAS Institute Inc., The College Board, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Quad/Graphics and Quebecor World.

Her book “Real World Print Production” will be published by Peachpit Press in early 2006.

Thanks to our sponsors:
A very special thanks to Adobe and Connect Learning, without whom, this event would not be possible.

It’s what designers accomplish with those tools that continually astounds and inspires us. We value the potential of design to influence, to educate, to motivate, to engage — and even to act as an agent for social change. These are some of the reasons why Adobe is the official AIGA Technology Sponsor. At both national and regional levels, Adobe is working with the AIGA to create innovative programs that give members a voice, nurture young designers, and actively engage the creative community in dialogues about the important issues in the field of design and technology.
