Submit your nominations now for the AIGA Houston Design Legends Awards by e-mailing the nomination form to the AIGA Houston President by the December 17, 2007 deadline. The Nomination Committee will then select a slate of qualified nominees. The final recipient will be selected from the slate of nominees by the board and honored at the Design Legends Gala in Spring 2008.

Past Houston honorees include the AIGA Houston 2006 Fellows: Cheryl Beckett and Chris Hill, and the recipient of the AIGA Houston 2006 Corporate Leadership Award: Walter P Moore.

The AIGA Houston Fellow Award
The AIGA Houston Fellow award program is a means of recognizing mature designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within the design community. The areas of education, writing, leadership and reputation, as well as the practice of design are given equal consideration in measuring significant contribution.

Nominees should fulfill the following guidelines:
A practitioner and/or educator with more than fifteen years experience in the profession;
A member in good standing; Making or have made a significant contribution to AIGA;  Making or have made a positive impact within their local or regional design community;
Advancing or have advanced excellence in graphic design as a discipline, profession, and cultural force.

The AIGA Houston Corporate Leadership Award
The AIGA Houston Corporate Leadership Award was established to recognize the role of perceptive and forward-thinking organizations that have been instrumental in the advancement of design by applying the highest standards, as a matter of policy.

The recipients of this award demonstrate respect for the lives they touch, a rare commitment to consistency and quality, and a model for the successful interaction between aesthetics and pragmatics.
