Event Details Who Is Behind Herman Miller? When I [Steve Frykholm] finished grad school, I received a call from Herman Miller. They were looking for an internal graphic designer and wondered if I might be interested. After the interview and an offer, I decided to take the job. Really, how could I pass up an opportunity to work for the company that worked with Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson? I thought I'd stay for a few years, get some experience, and then move on. Okay, so it's been a few decades - thirty-six years to be exact. I enjoy the work. I have fun. I work with energizing and creative talent both inside and outside the company. I'm appreciated. Why would I leave?
