California Institute of the Arts has long been a place for the search of new forms of graphic expression. The large cultural diversity of Southern California encourages one to embrace the unknown and different. The coexistence of different cultural groups, each manifesting their own visual language and a new fascination with the www have lead to a 'compositional fusion' design.

Come surprise yourself by posters which reflect a passion for odd new forms juxtaposed with known ones! Silk-screen posters, announcing CalArt's events between 1999 and 2004, chronicle the west coast's search for fusion.
